The restaurant serves everything grown on the property — fresh vegetables, herbs, eggs, and locally sourced proteins. The garden setting is beautiful, the cocktails are excellent, and the vibe is nothing like the resort corridor. Reservations essential.
Where do locals eat in Cabo San Lucas?
Locals in Cabo eat at the taco stands along Boulevard Marina and in the colonias (neighborhoods) away from the tourist strip. La Lupita in the marina area serves excellent traditional Mexican dishes at fair prices. Captain Tony's is a longtime local favorite for breakfast and casual Mexican food. Edith's has been feeding both tourists and locals for decades. For the most authentic experience, head into downtown San José del Cabo's side streets where the restaurants have no English menus.
What should I eat in Cabo San Lucas?
Don't leave Cabo without eating: fresh marlin tacos (the fish was likely caught that morning), Baja-style fish tacos (battered and fried with cabbage and white sauce), ceviche with Sea of Cortez shrimp, aguachile negro (a Sinaloa-style raw shrimp dish), and a watermelon margarita. For breakfast, chilaquiles and huevos rancheros are everywhere. The taco stands near the marina open late and are essential — the best are not in the tourist restaurants.
