Cabo San Lucas sits at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean collides with the Sea of Cortez at a granite headland called Land's End. The arch — El Arco — frames the junction and has become one of the most photographed landmarks in all of Mexico. But the arch is just the beginning. The marina behind it supports one of the world's premier sportfishing fleets, the restaurants that ring it run from world-class fine dining to decades-old taco stands, and the nightlife strip two blocks over is genuinely one of the most concentrated entertainment corridors in Latin America.

The city has grown dramatically over the past three decades — Waldorf Astoria, The Cape, and Nobu Hotel now sit alongside properties that were built in the 1980s — but its essential character has held. It remains a fishing town that became a resort destination without forgetting what it was. The locals who run the water taxis, run the charters, and run the kitchens at the best restaurants are the same families that have always been here. The infrastructure around them has simply become world-class.
