The Resort
Pacific left, marina right —
98 villas above Land's End.
The Ridge at Playa Grande is a 4-star boutique clifftop enclave of 98 suite villas perched above granite cliffs at Land's End — the southernmost tip of Cabo San Lucas. Its position is unique: rooms and pools simultaneously overlook the Pacific Ocean and the Cabo marina, a dual panoramic view that no beach-level property can replicate. A private elevator descends directly to street level, putting the marina within a comfortable walk.
Ridge guests get the boutique quiet and private pools of the clifftop property alongside full access to the sprawling Playa Grande Resort below — an asymmetric arrangement that gives The Ridge effectively two resort environments at once.
What Are the Views Like at The Ridge at Playa Grande?
The Ridge at Playa Grande is 98 clifftop suite villas above Land's End — one of the only properties in Los Cabos where you can see both the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez simultaneously from your terrace. It's a quieter, residential-feel alternative to full-service resort stays.
Location & Access
Clifftop Land's End — Dual Panoramic Views, Elevator to Downtown
The Ridge sits atop granite cliffs at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas near Land's End — one of the most dramatic positions of any property on the peninsula. From the ridge elevation, every room and pool looks out across both the Pacific Ocean and the Cabo San Lucas Marina simultaneously. A private ground-level elevator descends directly from the property to the base of downtown, putting the marina within a flat, easy walk.
The private elevator is one of The Ridge's most practical features — a clifftop location that feels secluded and quiet but connects to downtown in under 2 minutes. Few properties in Cabo manage this combination.
98 Suite Villas
Master Suites to Presidential Layouts — Full Kitchens & Panoramic Balconies
All 98 units are suite villas — configurations range from spacious Master Suites to multi-bedroom Presidential layouts. Every villa includes a full modern kitchen, large living room, and a private balcony framing the dual-panoramic view. The property's boutique scale means crowds are minimal and the atmosphere stays quiet and premium throughout the year.
The 98-unit cap keeps The Ridge genuinely boutique — at full occupancy it holds a fraction of the guests that Playa Grande handles below, which is reflected in the quieter pool and common areas throughout the day.
3 Private Infinity Pools
Ridge-Exclusive Pools + Full Playa Grande Access Below
The Ridge has three private infinity pools reserved exclusively for its guests — including a quieter adults-only pool and a swim-up grotto bar. Beyond those, Ridge guests have full charging and entry privileges to all pools, amenities, and facilities at the main Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa below — including the beachfront pools, mini-golf, and fitness center. It's a one-way upgrade: Playa Grande guests cannot access The Ridge's private pools.
The asymmetric access arrangement — Ridge guests can use everything at Playa Grande, but not vice versa — effectively gives Ridge guests access to two different resort pool environments depending on the mood and time of day.
Dining & Partner Restaurants
Cliffside Mediterranean-Baja Bistro + Solmar Group Dining Network
The Ridge Bistro is the signature cliffside on-site restaurant — a Mediterranean-Baja fusion menu by award-winning chefs in a setting that looks straight down to the Pacific. The all-inclusive plan extends to sister-property dining at The Brigantine (surf-and-turf seafood at Playa Grande below) and El Tejabán (traditional Mexican), plus access to several other Solmar Group partner locations — making it one of the more flexible dining packages available.
The Solmar Group dining network within the all-inclusive plan is a genuine advantage — guests aren't restricted to a single property's restaurants, and the combination of The Ridge Bistro and The Brigantine covers two meaningfully different dining atmospheres.
